John Lam is a passionate music educator who values lifelong learning and believes in the power of music to transform lives. He holds degrees in performance and education from his studies at Western University and the University of Michigan. After many years of teaching instrumental winds and guitar at both elementary and secondary levels, he is currently the Head of Performing Arts at Glendale High School in Tillsonburg, Ontario. Also, as a lifelong student of leadership and mentoring, he was appointed Bandmaster of the London Citadel Salvation Army Band in 1995 and Bandmaster of the internationally acclaimed Canadian Staff Band in 2008. During the summer months, John enjoys teaching at numerous Salvation Army music camps across Canada and the United States.
Cathie Koehnen is a high school instrumental music teacher in Mississauga. She was the songster leader at Mississauga Temple for 13 years and founded and conducted the Ontario Central East Divisional Youth Chorus for 10 years. This group was privileged to represent the Canada and Bermuda Territory at Boundless 2015. She is presently the Deputy songster leader for the Canadian Staff Songsters and Songster Leader at Yorkminster Citadel. Cathie has been the guest at many Canadian divisional camps as well as CMI in the U.S. She has served on the vocal faculty of the Territorial Music School for thirty years. Cathie is married to Peter and they have two sons, David and Jesse and a beautiful Goldendoodle named Callie.
